Requirements
Senior Certificate / Grade 12 plus Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm). Proof of Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) (2026). Good interpersonal, communication and time management skills. Ability to work under supervision within a multidisciplinary team. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Written, verbal & report presentation skills. Computer literacy. Knowledge of the Pharmacy No.: 53 of 1974. The Medicines and Related Substances Act, 101 of 1965 as amended. Good record keeping.
Duties
The internship will provide structured, supervised practical experience to enable registration as a Pharmacist with the SAPC. Interns will be placed in accredited facilities and expected to: Provide pharmaceutical care services under guidance of a registered Tutor. Support safe and effective medicine supply management. Participate in clinical pharmacy initiatives and patient counselling. Assist with dispensing, stock control, and compliance with GPP and legal requirements. Rotate through different functional areas in accordance with SAPC internship standards.
